In the period of summer cottages and vegetable gardens, a new problem appears - watering plants. Why carry heavy buckets when you can organize drip irrigation with your own hands? Here's how to do it.

Drip irrigation is especially suitable for crops such as vegetables, grapes and decorative plants.

Suspension system

If the gardener has a small area, then this option of drip irrigation is suitable for him. For its implementation, it will be necessary to make special supports that will pass exactly over those plants that require such watering. The bottles will be hung on these supports by the holes made in their bottom. Then they are filled with water and the degree of fluid supply is regulated by means of the open lid.

Medical droppers

This is also another version of the suspension system, only here the feeding end will be directed directly to the plant root. This is a reliable and truly working method. The main thing here is to have the required amount of "inventory".

Immersion method

For this method, you need to take a two-liter bottle and make many holes in it. Next, you need to bury it in the ground, where it is planned to water it by about twenty centimeters. Then it is enough just to pour water into bottles and drip irrigation of the soil will be provided.

Outside belt system

Soft silicone or PVC pipes are suitable for this method. A sufficient number of holes are made in them and the system is distributed throughout the site. A plug is placed on one end, while the other end is connected to the reservoir, from where water will be continuously supplied.

Submersible belt system

The whole technology is similar to the outer tape, only in this case the silicone or polyvinyl chloride hose is buried in the ground by 2-3 centimeters. Thus, the roots of plants themselves are irrigated by drip, which favorably affects their growth and productivity.

The disadvantages of this system include frequent mechanical pipe cleaning. But with all this, this method is really worthy of attention.
