Feeding with iodine

For quick ripening, you can spray the tomatoes with iodine. Such feeding should be done by foliar method. The solution should be weakly concentrated (30 drops in about 10 liters of water). One or two similar leaf dressings will significantly shorten growth.

Alcohol stimulation

An unusual, but proven way. Tomatoes that have tasted alcohol will fully ripen in a couple of weeks. To do this, add 0.5 ml of ethyl alcohol through a syringe through the nest of the green tomato.

Spraying with ash

For faster growth and getting sweet fruits soon, tomatoes can be sprayed with ash. A glass of ash is taken for 10 liters of water, without prior insisting. Ash is poured into a container filled with water, mixed and poured into the root. One bush requires about a liter of such feeding.

It is important to pour the ash solution only after watering, otherwise the roots can be burned and the plant will die.

If irrigation is abandoned, the ash solution is used to spray the leaves. In this case, for the same amount of water, they take 2 times less ash and spray the tomatoes on a cloudy day.

Watering with potassium humate

10 grams of powder is dissolved in 2 liters of hot water, and then the resulting mixture is mixed well and left for several hours. The resulting solution is additionally dissolved in a barrel with 200 liters of water.

Watering is carried out strictly at the root, since contact with leaves can provoke late blight.

Watering every ten days allows the tomatoes to grow faster. Given the availability of this drug and its general strengthening effect, it is not surprising that it is one of the most favorite among gardeners.

Unusual ways

Apples and bananas, laid under a bush or directly in harvested tomatoes, help them ripen quickly, as they contain special substances.

Plucking the first pinkish tomato can speed up the appearance of color in the rest.

Putting a red tomato next to green ones, you can see how its neighbors quickly become the same red, this is affected by the content of special substances in an already ripe vegetable.
