The soil
The soil on a strawberry bed should be porous and airy, it is here that there are chances to grow a really high-quality crop. Water penetrates better through the porous layer during irrigation, the earth warms up well and, of course, is ventilated.
Fertilizers
During the period of growing remontant strawberries, it is very important to give them the necessary and balanced fertilizers. So, at the very beginning of its growth, you can add nitrogen fertilizing, which will accelerate the development of the green part of the bushes. Next, you can add fertilizers that are rich in potassium and phosphorus - they will have a beneficial effect on strengthening the root system.
Watering
The roots of strawberries go into the soil about twenty to thirty centimeters, so the irrigation pattern also affects its quality and taste. It should be frequent and abundant.
Removing excess
When preparing the beds, you do not need to try to plant the maximum number of bushes, remontant, and ordinary strawberries do not like this. The distance between the beds themselves should be at least sixty centimeters, between the bushes - at least twenty. They need to leave enough space to grow and bear fruit freely.
