Rodents are the main pests in the summer cottage, because in a short time they are able to destroy more than one plant, causing significant damage to the harvest and the work of the gardener.

If it suddenly happens that the mice have settled on the site, then you should not immediately take any radical decisions. In this matter, the main thing is to be able to preserve all your plants, while not disturbing the natural composition of the soil.
Field mice
Most often, it is field mice that make their way to the plots, which, due to their voracity, will destroy more than one bulbous plant in the shortest possible time. You can understand what exactly they came to visit by the nature of the damage: they gnaw through all the roots.
Cat
Of course, the most elementary way to get rid of unexpected guests is to get a cat and let her walk around the site, leaving her smells everywhere.
But if this is not possible, then there are a number of other "deterrent" factors:
Sagebrush
The most gentle and safest method among plants. It is enough just to plant the bitter wormwood and the mice are gone. They do not like the smell of wormwood so much that they will leave the garden once and for all.
After the wormwood has already faded, then dry bunches can be laid out over the site. They have the same effect.
Tomato tops
Another list of unloved plants in rodents is headed by tomato tops. If you are puzzled, you can plan their landing so that they block the entrance of the mice to the main part of the site. Later, after harvesting, the tops should also not be thrown away: they can be tied in bunches and, like wormwood, laid out in the garden.
Scarers
In order for the above methods to give a much more effective result, modern scarers can be used in combination with them.
It should be borne in mind that mice reproduce very quickly, so if they have already settled on the site, then soon their younger generation will also begin to come here. The fight in this case must be cardinal and win-win.
