Recently it has become very popular to grow non-traditional strawberry varieties. What was previously considered impossible is now available to absolutely every amateur gardener. Strawberries with cherry, raspberry or pineapple flavors made easy!

Pineberry

Someone jokingly calls these fruits albinos, calling them so for their white color. Pineberry is a successful cross between Chilean and Virginia meadow strawberries. This species was developed by a breeder who currently lives in the Netherlands.

The fruits themselves are white berries with a firm and sweet pulp that is very similar to the taste of ripe pineapple.

Initially, the berries are green; when ripe, they turn white. The grains on them turn red, which gives the Pineberry variety a special uniqueness.

Strawberries and cherries

This type of crossing was received by breeders relatively recently. Needless to say, how much the gardeners loved him. In appearance, an ordinary strawberry has such a dense and rich cherry flavor that the one who tried it will not immediately tell which fruit he ate. This variety is definitely worth planting at least once.

Strawberries and raspberries

When these two berries were crossed, a raspberry was formed. The bush itself is very reminiscent of traditional raspberries. Its height (more than three meters) and thorny branchy shoots will not immediately make it clear that this is a strawberry hybrid. The flowering of the bush is so beautiful that one wants to admire and admire this period. Large five-centimeter flowers are densely adorned with green-yellow shrubs. Further, when the flowering stage ends, the ripening stage begins. As a result, the gardener gets bright red fruits that very much resemble raspberries, but when tasting them, a person will immediately say that they are strawberries. Such an interesting play of tastes and appearance can be on the site.

Sustainability

The advantage of such hypoid plants is that most of them are remontant, that is, they give several full harvests per season. Also, due to the fact that this is the development of experienced breeders, hybrids are often resistant to weather conditions and various kinds of pests.
